Rainy Days...

This week, from Monday to Wednesday, it rained for 3 days.

When rain drops, I used to think about my ex-boyfriend.
These days, however, I recall the students whom I met during teaching practice.
Maybe, the very reason is that the last day of my teaching practice was a rainy day.
Yes, I have felt so lonesome after the end of the teaching practice.

Every rainy day, I hear songs related to rain.
There's a famous Korean song "Rain and You(비와 당신)" which is used as OST of a movie, 'Radio Strar(라디오 스타)', and the song is my favorite.

In this song, there are some phrases like this:

'Now I don't miss you
I don't have any desire to see you
Our memory of love being forgotten silently...'

Usually, I don't concentrate on the lyrics.
Yesterday, however, as soon as I heard this part, I was deeply worried that what I would do if we forget each other little by little and they don't miss me anymore like the part of the song.

Before doing teaching practice, I didn’t know that I really had a good relationship with students. Nowadays students are known as mischievous and naughty teens. Therefore, I was a little worried if I could get on with them.

And now, it already has passed about 3 weeks, I really miss them and hope to meet them. I think the one month of the teaching practice would be the best period of this semester, year, or the whole campus-life. I could find my aptitude and have a dream due to the season.

Ah! I really want to graduate from the school (university) and go back to the school (middle and high school). Students in Jongam middle school! Please don’t forget me until that time~

Let's Make Sri Lankan Food!

In my church, there is a program for exchange students or international students. The name of the program is Sa Rang Bang, which means a place filled with love in Korean. Every Tuesday or Friday, some Korean assistants and foreign students gather together and experience Korean culture. For example, we watch Korean movie, learn Korean through K-POP, make Korean traditional food, go to palaces in Seoul, and so on.

Meanwhile, a chief assistant suggested an idea that it would be good for international members of Sa Rang Bang to make their own country’s traditional food. Many people welcomed the idea and ‘Imali’ from Sri Lanka was chosen to be the first hitter. Therefore, we came to eat Sri Lankan curry this week.

We made three kinds of curries: Dal curry, Chicken Curry, and Pumpkin Curry. At first, I thought that one would choose the curry which matches with each one’s tastes. So it was a little boring to wait until the cooking was over. However, in the way of Sri Lankan culture, we must mix three of them in one bowl. Besides, we had to eat the curry rice using hands. It was a little shocking because I was not used to that kind of culture, but after a while it seemed to be more delicious with that way.

For so long, I have taught or introduced Korean culture to foreigners. So, it was new and happy time for me to go through and understand another culture. I hope there would be more and more people from another country to country in Sa Rang Bang!

Spring Picnic with my Lovely Students♥

From the first day of this week, I was really really eager for this day.

The reason was that it’s a special day for me to meet students who I managed during teaching practice, and to go on a picnic to Namsan Tower with them. Just the thought of it made my heart flutter. So I had such fitful sleep last night. But I was never tired.

We met in front of Namsan Tower. Personally it was my first visit to there.
There were lots of flowers here and there and the sun shone brightly.

We went around Namsan Tower, took some pictures, and had really delicious lunch together.
After that, we took for a walk from the tower to Namsangol Traditional Korean Village.
It was a little hot, but it was so nice to have a stroll in the forest.

Frankly speaking, though Namsan Tower was one of my wish list to want to go in Seoul, I hold it for years. I hope to visit there for the first time with my fiancé. Therefore I thought the spring picnic must be one more sign for me to be a teacher. During teaching practice, I decided that I will be a teacher who take care of my students with love no less than my fiancé!

I’m so happy to close the day with happiness.
